As a seasoned professional with over 15 years in selling services, I’m excited to have the opportunity to share my thoughts and best practices for selling Lenovo Services. My name is Nellie Scott, Channel Services Program Manager, and I look forward to bringing information and strategies that will help you leverage Lenovo Services as real-time solutions to real-time challenges. Remember if you don’t talk about services as solutions…..your competition will. Do you know how much your customers’ older systems are worth on the market today? Extend their lifecycle? OR Refresh their install base. It is a decision greatly based on economics and one that you can influence by factoring in the fair market value of their existing systems into the purchase of new systems. First, you need to know what they have, how old are their systems and whether there is any value left. A great way to get started is to USE the most current Lenovo Fair Market Value Grid, which you can obtain through our Services Support Center or Lenovo Partner Portal under Asset Recovery Services Give it to your customers and start engaging in conversations. Bring financial thought leadership to these discussions, remembering that different customers process value propositions...

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by the blog. My name is Stephanie, and I’m a content writer for the Lenovo Training Solutions (LTS) group in Worldwide Marketing. If I may, I’d like to pose a question… do you ever stop to think about where you’re getting your insights on Lenovo’s newest products? From an LTS perspective, I can tell you that we have the unique advantage of crafting the product story alongside every subject matter expert and “touchpoint.” From managers of the product to managers of the accessories sold with the product, we have an end-to-end story telling approach that isn’t replicated anywhere else at Lenovo. At partners.lenovo.com, we’ve developed this experience for our Partners by housing all of our comprehensive training in a variety of forms – Flash modules, videos, and audio podcasts in a tailored space that responds to your time restrictive demands. For example, click on the link below for our most recent ThinkPad X1 training. Our Lenovo Ambassador, Ashley Perry, walks you through the laptop’s features and benefits, selling points, portfolio comparisons, and industry advantages in short clips. Watch one, watch two, watch them all. We want your learning experience to be all about you.

It's now the Tuesday after our first North American Channel Partner Forum, Accelerate 2011 and we have a few minutes to reflect on what has occurred over the past few days. In this time, we hosted more than 400 partners who were ready and willing to learn and to provide feedback to us on a multitude of things ranging from technologies to services. A short recap of the event...112 breakout sessions, 6 keynotes from Lenovo Executives, media, John Elway, and products galore. It was a virtual whirlwind of Lenovo channel activity. We hope that you have seen through this effort the commitment that Lenovo is making to the channel and are inspired to lead with Lenovo. And on to the goodies. The first most requested item that we have had from the event was for the decks presented in the breakout sessions. We're now making them available as follows: US Marketing Tools CA Marketing Tools US Channel Programs CA Channel Programs US...

Matt Kohut and Stephen Miller, two of Lenovo’s product gurus, took the stage on the last day of Accelerate 2011 in Las Vegas to provide an enlightening and humorous look at how Lenovo builds products to withstand the torture of everyday use. They talked about how Lenovo tests products for drops and then showed first hand what happens to a ThinkPad X1, Lenovo's new thin and light laptop, when dropped from high above the conference floor! The answer? Nothing. The X1 still worked as Stephen and Matt played a game of Angry Birds on the just-dropped machine.

Things just finished here on the final day of Accelerate 2011. Chris Frey took to the stage to wrap up the 3-day event in the last, but lively General Session presentation. Chris asked the audience to measure whether or not the event was a success with a round of applause, and the response was outstanding. He then went on to thank all of the partners for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend Accelerate 2011. Chris then invited Matt Kohut and Stephen Miller, two of Lenovo’s product gurus, to the stage to provide an enlightening and humorous look at how Lenovo builds products to withstand the torture of everyday use.
