Reseller Partners Events & Initiatives

Accelerate 2012 is officially underway. We’re excited to see all the partners and everyone here in Las Vegas is energized to hear about new Lenovo products and programs. The product showcase is once again a buzz of activity. Like last year, the showcase is positioned in the middle of the breakout rooms and meals giving people ample opportunity to talk with Lenovo partners and network with Lenovo, sponsors and other partners. We’ve already had a lot of activity and heard some good discussion. Partners have been jumping around from our ThinkPad and ThinkCentre stations to ThinkServer and ThinkStation. Whoo hoo! Really, although the planning for this event is to some extent, killing me...there are soooo many things going well and sooooo many exciting things in the works. As we started many moons ago, it's really a bit impossible to tell how much would have been done by this point and how much there is left to do. Believe me, that list even at this point - pretty ugly. Either way, in just 2 short weeks we will be there...Accelerate 2012 - bigger, bolder, better. I'm sure you already know about the agenda... workshops, breakout sessions, keynotes, big execs, and product-aplenty. But on to today's highlight - just a little extra perhaps to get those of you on the fence about going...over it. I wouldn't call it bragging, but we are a bit proud of our inclusion of a man who's been called by many the best NFL player to ever play football...American football as a distinction for some of you. If that doesn't say targeting the best...not sure what does. From Wikipedia: "The all-time leader in most major statistical categories for wide receivers and the all-time NFL leader in touchdowns scored with 208, Rice was selected to the Pro Bowl 13 times (1986–1996, 1998, 2002) and named All-Pro 12 times in his 20 NFL seasons. It was so much fun last year we‘ve decided to DO it all over again! For the second year in a row we will be holding our highly successful Accelerate Partner event in Las Vegas from May 14th - 16th and we are taking registrations NOW!  Head to: for all the details and the opportunity to register. Remember if you don’t talk about services as solutions…..your competition will. Do you know how much your customers’ older systems are worth on the market today? Are you using this information to influence your customer’s decision to refresh their hardware? Good asset management requires your customers to assess what to do with outdated systems? Extend their lifecycle? OR Refresh their install base. It is a decision greatly based on economics and one that you can influence by factoring in the fair market value of their existing systems into the purchase of new systems. First, you need to know what they have, how old are their systems and whether there is any value left. A great way to get started is to USE the most current Lenovo Fair Market Value Grid, which you can obtain through our Services Support Center or Lenovo Partner Portal under Asset Recovery Services Give it to your customers and start engaging in conversations.
