Accelerate 2012 is officially underway. We’re excited to see all the partners and everyone here in Las Vegas is energized to hear about new Lenovo products and programs. The product showcase is once again a buzz of activity. Like last year, the showcase is positioned in the middle of the breakout rooms and meals giving people ample opportunity to talk with Lenovo partners and network with Lenovo, sponsors and other partners. We’ve already had a lot of activity and heard some good discussion. Partners have been jumping around from our ThinkPad and ThinkCentre stations to ThinkServer and ThinkStation. With Lenovo’s focus on ThinkStation and ThinkServer this year, there is a lot of exciting news partners have been hearing about while here in Las Vegas. Accelerate 2012
Accelerate 2012, it's big, it's unwieldy, it's...in Las Vegas. And although we'd love to host all of our many partners for the event, expectedly...not everyone is able to attend. This does not, however, mean you cannot follow along with the event from afar. Throughout the duration, we will be hosting and posting as often as possible via our varied digital voices. You'll be able to keep up through photos and imagery here on our Flickr page. And through our many event blog posts. The latter will feature a lot of the video we take from the event also - main stage, product showcase, candid interviews, etc... Some of you may remember the X1 drop that we did at the event last year...not to brag, but...I think we'll top it. Soooo...how will you know when things become available in the first place? Countdown to Accelerate
A week from now the final packing tape will be placed on shipments to Vegas. The suitcase will be zipped. And I’ll probably be having my first Red Bull of many as I board the plane for my first Lenovo Accelerate.
Like some of you, I’m a newbie this year. But, I’ve heard about the X1 drop. I’ve heard about the product giveaways. And I’ve heard about the showcase. But here’s what you haven’t heard…how great this year is going to be! We’ve been working for months (and pretty much around the clock for the past few weeks) to make sure this year is bigger and even more memorable than last year. Pretty hard feat actually.
As we inch closer and closer to the kick off of Accelerate, here are just a few of the things I can’t wait for (and this is coming from one of the behind-the-scenes, in-the-know Accelerate event managers).

Whoo hoo!
Really, although the planning for this event is to some extent, killing me...there are soooo many things going well and sooooo many exciting things in the works.
As we started many moons ago, it's really a bit impossible to tell how much would have been done by this point and how much there is left to do. Believe me, that list even at this point - pretty ugly.
Either way, in just 2 short weeks we will be there...Accelerate 2012 - bigger, bolder, better.
I'm sure you already know about the agenda... workshops, breakout sessions, keynotes, big execs, and product-aplenty.
But on to today's highlight - just a little extra perhaps to get those of you on the fence about going...over it.
I wouldn't call it bragging, but we are a bit proud of our inclusion of a man who's been called by many the best NFL player to ever play football...American football as a distinction for some of you.
If that doesn't say targeting the best...not sure what does.
