What’s in a brand?

Since the first announcement that Lenovo was purchasing the PC Division from IBM, the world watched and actively speculated about what this would really mean. In truth, the ThinkPad has been in the same capable hands that it has always been, but ... Lenovo needed time to prove itself, and so as part of the transition we secured the use of the IBM logo for up to five years. This familiar eight bar logo was a symbol of all that we had been and what our customers knew to expect. In these last two years, I believe Lenovo has proved that it continues to uphold the design and quality of the Think products, while breaking new ground with the Lenovo 3000 and Idea brands.
