Lenovo Becomes the First Microsoft OEM PC Partner to Announce Support for Windows AutoPilot

Lenovo is empowering large enterprise customers to take the first step in their journey to modern management by being the first Microsoft OEM PC partner to announce support for Windows Autopilot.  The promise of a simpler user experience is at hand as Windows Autopilot replaces the traditional PC imaging process by leveraging the cloud for true touchless deployments.  This means greatly simplified deployments, streamlined IT administration, and happier end users.
For the first time, IT Administrators will have the option to leverage Lenovo's direct integration with Windows Autopilot’s capability to register Lenovo PC’s to their Azure Active Directory tenant before they receive the PCs.  Lenovo’s factory capabilities combined with Windows Autopilot are key pieces to an Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) strategy that drastically simplifies how IT delivers services to their users.  As soon as users sign in to a highly simplified and customized out-of-box set up experience, provisioning and security policies will be delivered by the enterprise EMM solution, much like mobile phones are deployed today. Lenovo is ready to help our customers achieve modern deployment and management best practices with Windows Autopilot.  For greater value, customers can combine Windows Autopilot with Lenovo Windows 10 preloaded images as well as custom solutions that are optimized for Windows Autopilot with customer applications and cloud storage capability integrated.
Lenovo is testing Windows AutoPilot with selected early adopter customers now and broader availability will be ready in the coming months. Enhanced digital ordering and fulfilment processes, combined with Lenovo’s global PC manufacturing capabilities and customers’ device management facilities, promises to transform PC deployment in the modern IT era.
