Lenovo and Triathlon Computer Announce the Extended Lifecycle Program

GUEST BLOG BY LUIS GIRON

During my tenure as a product manager for System x options, it has become very apparent that every customer has unique qualification schedules, product transition plans and purchase behavior. With limited budgets, you optimize your assets and often maintain servers beyond our planned product support period. As parts are discontinued, server maintenance and upgrades become a daunting challenge. We understand the importance of providing investment protection and flexibility throughout the entire technology lifecycle; that’s why we have selected Triathlon Computer as our global partner for the new Extended Lifecycle Program (ELP).

The ELP lets you maximize your existing investment by providing access to enterprise upgrades and accessories no longer marketed by Lenovo. With technology lifecycles often stretching beyond three years, it’s imperative that your investment in Lenovo systems is secure.

Our ELP partner ─ Triathlon Computer ─ has extensive knowledge in new, end-of-life, discontinued, remarketed, refurbished and off-lease IT hardware. With this partnership, our collective expertise will ensure that you are able to better manage your total cost of ownership for IT investments for the entire product lifecycle.

The following platforms are currently supported by the Extended Lifecycle Program:

  • System x
  • ThinkServer
  • BladeCenter
  • Flex System
  • NeXtScale System
  • iDataPlex
  • Lenovo Networking products
