Lenovo has unleashed the New ThinkPad X1 Carbon – the world’s lightest 14-inch ultrabook. Perfect for business users who want a laptop with high performance technology, mobility and durability, the New ThinkPad X1 Carbon joins Lenovo’s premium business portfolio.
Thinner and lighter than the first iteration of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and weighing just 2.8 pounds, this upgrade offers new technologies including 10-point multi-touch display, voice and gesture control that allow for seamless user interaction, and an Adaptive Keyboard that offers almost twice the number of functions of the original ThinkPad X1 Carbon. The Adaptive Keyboard adjusts based on the software or application being used to highlight the most relevant keys.
Enhancing user experience was paramount for Lenovo’s designers when creating the New ThinkPad X1 Carbon which is why we included features like the ColorBurst WQHD 2560x1440 display, providing vibrant images at higher resolutions with even more detail. To maintain this display, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon features a Rapid-Charge battery that lasts up to nine hours while unplugged, and also recharges up to 80 percent in under one hour. For mobility and connectivity, the New ThinkPad X1 Carbon offers BlueTooth 4.0, Near Field Communication (NFC), optional built in 4G capability, and additional USB ports. Taking connectivity and productivity to a higher level, the New ThinkPad X1 Carbon also features OneLink docking capability that allows users to connect multiple devices and eliminate cable clutter.
The New ThinkPad X1 Carbon is built on a foundation of Carbon Fiber, the same material used in the construction of aircrafts and racecars.
