Froggen and Dexter Go to Beijing: “League of Legends” Greats Visit Lenovo HQ

What do Froggen, Dexter and Lenovo have in common? It’s not a TV show, nor a hit song; it’s a shared passion for gaming. Last month, the two competitive LoL players paid a visit to our headquarters in Beijing, where they experienced the best of what we have to offer PC gamers.

“Lenovo was kind enough to invite me,” said Froggen, aka Henrik Hansen, a Danish player on one of the biggest League of Legends (LoL) teams, Elements. “It was awesome to see the Lenovo offices. They have coffee shops on every campus, a must for LoL players.”

Both players were treated to an extensive tour of our space, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our product “torture” labs where our machines go through rigorous stress testing.

“Lenovo’s products are really interesting. We checked out their 2016 gaming PC line-up and their factories. We even got a chance to weigh in on some of the gaming trends we’re seeing over the next couple of years. This was a valuable opportunity few gamers get to experience,” said Dexter, aka Marcel Feldcamp, a German player also from Elements. “They also gifted each of us a Lenovo ideapad Y700 to game on. I like that the design is clean, simple and intuitive – exactly how a design should be.”

Froggen added, “Players usually try to get the best hardware possible so it can last a few years without worrying about its performance,” said Froggen. “I think every player has their own needs. From discrete graphics to the keyboard, the ideapad Y700 has all the features built in for some immersive game time. I think it really gives players the edge they need.”

Of course, no visit to Beijing would be complete without a trip to see its greatest achievements.  As part of their trip with us, we took them to see a few of China’s most treasured destinations, including the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City.
“It was really cold, but also a dream come true to see the Wall,” said Dexter.

“From seeing the Great Wall to meeting the Lenovo team behind the Y series gaming devices, this has been an incredible trip I’ll always remember,” said Froggen.
