We just wrapped our second channel partner forum to a packed house. After last year’s X1 drop and system giveaways, partners did not want to miss this year’s closing session.
Chris Frey, Lenovo Channel Chief, kicked off the final session thanking partners for attending and invited Rick Searfoss, a retired United States Air Force Colonel, NASA Astronaut and test pilot, on stage to share his experience with Lenovo products in space. He has commanded the most complex science research space mission and two other space flights, including a joint Russian-American mission to the Mir space station. With a wealth of experience and knowledge about technology, Searfoss sang the praises of the durability and reliability of ThinkPad notebooks under any circumstances, including space travel.
To close the session, Stephen Miller was joined on stage by Ashley Perry and a special guest to demonstrate the strength of Lenovo products. Stephen’s special guest was a chimpanzee named Susie who doubled as the Lenovo Do Devil, but she didn’t stop there. She threw computers, covered them in water, dropped one in a freezer and fired one up on a BBQ grill —all to demonstrate the strength and durability of Lenovo products. ThinkPads are now chimpanzee tested and approved.
The session closed once again with product giveaways where 11 randomly selected partners walked away with new Lenovo systems and another went home with an NFL weekend grand prize.
Thanks to our partners for another great Accelerate!
