Like most people, I want to live a greener lifestyle. Unfortunately it is hard to sort through the countless green certifications surrounding consumer electronics. That is why we at Lenovo have partnered once again with TÜV Rheinland, the leading ICT third party inspection firm by volume of certifications, to certify our newest ThinkCentre M92z and ThinkVision LT2323z under the “Green Product Mark”. The Green Mark promotes eco-friendly products by delivering customer guidance to identifying green and sustainable products in an extremely crowded market place. Green Mark verifies that electronic products like the ThinkCentre M92z meet the best in class parameters for energy efficiency, toxic components, recycled materials use and product carbon footprint. These new Green Mark products ensure the sustainability and environmental friendliness under a trusted certification. In the process of achieving Green Mark certification, the ThinkCentre M92z needed to meet a...

Cory Grenier, ThinkCentre M Series Global Marketing Manager, works with large enterprises to help meet their demands for new desktop PCs powered by the latest technology. The digital office relieved people from the noisy clang of typewriters, but the introduction of traditional PCs also created a new challenge – they give off heat, making work places warmer. We addressed that challenge with Intelligent Cooling Engine (ICE), ending the days of walking into an office that feels as stuffy as a gym locker room. This technology delivers ultimate thermal and acoustic performance. The new ICE solution, unique to our ThinkCentre M series, actively monitors key component temperatures in real-time, and optimally adjusts the fan speed to keep the system cooler and quieter. ICE acoustic performance is only 36 decibels. To put this in context, if you’re talking about what to buy your wife for her anniversary and she’s standing just three feet away – she still wouldn’t be able to hear you. Now that is quiet! This unique innovation is something that you’ll only find on a Lenovo desktop PC and serves as an example of the kind of research and development we put into things...

Cory Grenier, ThinkCentre M Series Global Marketing Manager, works with large enterprises to help meet their demands for new desktop PCs powered by the latest technology. As the knowledge economy grows, so does our need to multi-task as well as our expectations for productivity. For example, professionals in the financial, legal, healthcare, engineering and creative industries are experiencing a growing need to see more content at the same time. Their jobs require a holistic, clearer view of the information at their fingertips and the traditional PC display doesn’t always cut it. I first realized how convenient multi-monitors are while editing a large file for a product tour video. Viewing four screens at once saved time switching between applications and allowed me and the digital designer to see different aspects of the production all at once. My eyes were also noticeably less strained, and having four displays eliminated printing individual video scenes on paper because we had the whole picture right in front of us. Quantitative studies report that multi-screen PC solutions, such as quad displays, result in 33% fewer errors, and 24% of employees feel more comfortable using multiple displays for their work.1 Until now, quad display solutions were prohibitively expensive for all but the largest and...
