Guest author Michael Archambault recently tested the new ThinkPad Ultralight Cases. His verdict: A perfect blend of style and comfort - Mission complete. If James Bond used a backpack, it would be the Lenovo ThinkPad Ultralight Backpack. This $99 backpack from Lenovo combines Military grade Kevlar and Ripstop along with Carbon Fiber to protect your system during any of your missions for queen and country. The ThinkPad Ultralight Backpack fits up to 14.1 inch notebooks and has enough room to hold your valuables. During my testing of the backpack I was initially worried it would be too small to hold all of my belongings, but I was strongly mistaken. I was able to fit my ThinkPad X1 Carbon, A/C power cord, wireless mouse, on-ear headphones, ThinkPad Tablet 2, and my portable gaming device neatly into the backpack without it being a tight fit. This backpack is a modern day Houdini, it only has four zippered areas, but each has immense storage space that doesn’t even seem possible at first glance. The top zippered area has two padded areas, one for a laptop and one for a tablet. I have never seen a manufacturer design a backpack with a tablet in mind and quite frankly I am impressed that Lenovo included it. My Tablet no longer jumps around, but instead is neatly held in place. The top zippered area also includes area for charging cables. On the sides of the backpack are two large zippered storage areas that were able to easily hold the rest of my valuables...

Innovation in accessories is not lost on tech enthusiasts like guest author Michael Archambault, who recently test-drove the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock. His verdict: This is NOT your parents’ old-school docking station. The days when laptop docking required you to snap your machine into a bulky plastic connector are behind us with the launch of the Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock. Lenovo partnered with DisplayLink technologies to bring an innovative dock to the desks of DOers everywhere. The new ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock provides a fast and easy connection to all your laptop's accessories while keeping your desk open and neat. Let's take a dive in and see why this little beast is making such a splash. Design: The new ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock measures in at only 6.3in tall, 4in wide, and 3.4in deep; making it small enough to almost fit in the palm of your hand. The new Dock is also light, which makes it the most portable dock ever produced for the ThinkPad line. As soon as I took the device out of the box I was truly amazed at how much time went into the external design of the unit - it roared simplicity and sophistication. The device is made of a durable material that feels sturdy to the touch with a taper design that allows all of my USB and DVI cables to fit nicely into the back connectors while making the dock appear thin in the front. You really can't appreciate how beautiful the design of this dock is until you have one in your hands.
